about us

Behavior change. Social marketing. Product perception. Operator identity.
Regional identity. Stakeholders. Political concerns. Funding issues.

Not terms normally used in the course of the advertising business. But at Bus Design TMG, they form the basis for a unique specialty in meeting the needs of the transportation industry—from individual transit operators to multi-state and national programs.

Category-changing creative. New media. Hyper targeting of new markets for services. Grassroots advertising. Community and neighborhood based activities. Advanced web-based strategies. Education in the how—not just the why—of using shared ride transportation. Measurement. Results.

These are the terms that Bus Design TMG is bringing to the transportation world. As the country’s only comprehensive design, marketing, web development and strategic planning company dedicated to the transportation industry, Bus Design TMG is reinventing how transit operators, agencies, departments of transportation, and others are viewing marketing—and how the public perceives choices to driving alone.

Look at our resumes. No other advertising agency can boast a broader background in transportation. We know how to talk to funding agencies and we know how to talk to commuters. We can communicate effectively with Boards and Oversight Committees while bringing new markets to help expand your programs, and help identify new sources of funding to maximize your marketing budgets.

Bus Design TMG was formed through a combined vision of the founding partners (Dan, Eileen and Chuck) and Peggy, the newbie of the group (a newbie with 22 years of living and succeeding in your transportation world). Bus Design has already excelled in the healthcare and technology company fields. We believe that transportation offers incredible opportunities to provide excellent service to clients as well as fill our passion—help transportation providers increase ridership and permanently change the perception of transit, carpooling, and vanpooling in an automobile-driven world. We don’t expect auto company-sized budget. But we can take what you have and leverage it to make a greater impact than automobile advertising.

A big challenge? Sure. But if not now, when? We are at what Malcolm Gladwell termed “The Tipping Point.” Increasing traffic congestion, growing environmental awareness of transportation impacts, frustrating and longer commutes, and travelers who want to enjoy the quality of life they’ve worked so hard for.

Our work speaks for itself, but there’s always opportunity for a conversation, and we’re ready to roll. We are professionals who have taken years of varied but complementary experience to come together to bring you more riders. Join us.
